This Privacy Policy (the “Policy“) is issued in compliance with Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (No. 26 of 2012), as amended (the “PDPA“), and applies to the website https://happyaff.com (the “Site“, “we“, “us“, “our“). When visitors leave comments on the Site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, to help with spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (a “hash”) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you are using it. The Gravatar service’s privacy policy is available at: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
2.2 Media
If you upload images to the website, please avoid uploading images that include embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the website can download and extract location data from images on the Site.

2.4 Embedded Content from Other Websites

Article 3 Purpose of Collection and Consent

Article 4 Who We Share Your Data With
We do not sell your personal data. We may share your personal data with:
- Service providers who assist us in operating the Site (e.g., automated spam detection services, as noted above). Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
- If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
- Third parties where required by law, regulation, or legal process.
Any third-party service providers we engage are required to protect your personal data to a standard comparable to the PDPA.
Article 5 Transfer of Personal Data Overseas
Some of our service providers (e.g., Automattic/Gravatar, spam-detection or hosting providers) may store or process data outside Singapore. Where we transfer your personal data overseas, we take steps required under the PDPA’s Transfer Limitation Obligation to ensure the recipient provides a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA, such as contractual clauses or recognized certification schemes.
Article 6 How Long We Retain Your Data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely, so that we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For registered users (if applicable), we store the personal information provided in their user profile. Users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
We do not retain personal data longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law.
Article 7 How We Protect Your Data
We implement reasonable technical, administrative, and physical security arrangements to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification, disposal, or similar risks, in accordance with the PDPA’s Protection Obligation.
Article 8 Your Rights
Subject to the PDPA, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
- Withdraw consent for the collection, use, or disclosure of your personal data;
- Request an export of your personal data in a commonly used format (data portability), where applicable;
- Request deletion/erasure of your personal data, subject to any legal, administrative, or security obligations that require us to retain it.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact our DPO using the details in Article 2. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Article 9 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last revised” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
Article 10 Governing Law and Language
We operate the Site from the Republic of Singapore, and this Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore, including the PDPA. In the event that litigation becomes necessary, the courts of Singapore shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
The English version of this Policy is the original and governing text. Versions in Japanese or any other language are reference translations provided for the convenience of visitors.
